Encounters :II

Evanescent dawn

Clothed in diaphanous gown

rings the morning bell

The horizon comes alive

A refulgent explosion

Those eyes once bright sparks

now dimmed as life ebbs away

Somnolent peepers

The dying fire glimmers

as darkness descends within

An endless summer

Yellow days and balmy nights

Strength withers away

The coolness missing each day

Each breath an effort to take

Temple 3

The temple bell gongs

Incense throngs the placid air

It is time for prayers

Cherry blossoms young women

together at the alter

Orange carps frolick

Dense ripples in still waters

touching the surface

Except the shimmering stream

serenity closes in
